Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet

Since I'm horrible at describing perfumes, I never attempted to try to write about them. But when I smelled this particular one, I knew I HAD write about it. I wanted to tell the world about this one XD
I'm talking about Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet. It's such a fresh, springy (is that even a word?), happy fragrance. I have other fragrances but I seem to keep grabbing this one. It's a fresh everyday perfume that doesn't
get boring and I fall in love with it every time I use it.

Normally I'm not too crazy about flowery perfumes, because they smell too granny-like but Fran├žois Demachy (Dior’s in-house perfumer) pulled it off. He describes Blooming Bouquet as being “like a springtime bouquet with a hint of elegant and light woody notes” making for a composition that ensures that “Miss Dior keeps her promise of love”.

The Notes
Top: Essence of Mandarin and Essence of Sicilian Mandarin
Heart: Peony and Damask Rose
Base: White Musk

If you have no idea what top-, heart- and base notes are, I'll try to explain very briefly. Perfume (ie, a scent of a particular brand) always consists of three notes. The top notes, middle notes and the base notes.

Top notes: The top notes are the very first thing you smell when you smell a perfume. These contain the smaller molecules that evaporate quickly. So you won't smell them for long.
Heart notes: Once the top notes are evaporated, you can smell the middle notes. Also called the "heart notes".
Base notes: Base notes are very close to the middle notes. The base notes are often a bit heavier. These are a little 'underlying smells', such as a heavy musk (which is used in this particular perfume). But with the middle notes on top of them, they become a bit more neutral. But when the middle notes are also gone, you'll smell the base notes more.

And let's not forget about the bottle. I mean, how elegant, cute and feminine is this? The perfume itself is a pretty pink fluid. I love the silver bow. And what about the iconic codes of the Dior House: houndstooth-embossed print on the bottom? LOVE!

Do you have this perfume? Would love to hear what you think about it!

Please share, like, follow and all that other good stuff! Makes me happy :D
