Easy and Delicious Apple Cinnamon Turban Cake




 Tonight I'm going to my parents' house, and sometimes I like to surprise them with something home baked and tasty.  This is my go-to recipe when I want to bake a quick and easy cake. My dad loves this cake. The smell of the cinnamon and apple freshly baked inside a moist fluffy cake is just the best. And I just lóve the smell of home baked goods in my home! You can easily add in some nuts, such as walnuts or almonds.






This what you'll need:
-200 ml of oil
-200 gr of castor sugar
-4 medium eggs
-1 tbs vanilla sugar or 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
-1 tsp of baking powder
-200 gr all purpose flower
-2 medium sized apples
-1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
-(if desired, 1 handful of chopped walnuts or almonds)




So first you mix the oil and the sugar at medium speed, until the sugar is melted. Than you mis in the eggs, one by one. You add in the vanilla sugar (or essence), as well as the baking powder and flower. Than you mix everything together, untill it becomes a smooth batter. Set aside. 
Peel the apples and remove the core. Than you chop them in to chunks of about 2 cm. Put the apples in the batter and add the cinnamon. You can also add the nuts at this point. Fold the apples and cinnamon in to the batter, and stop as soon as everything is mixed together.

Grease a turban tin with some butter and throw in a little flower. Than turn the tin so that the flower will stick to the butter in the entire tin. This will help to get your cake out without sticking to the tin. Pour in the batter so that it is evenly spread. Than put it in a preheated oven for about 40 minutes at 175 degrees Celsius. 

Try not to open the oven to much or your cake won't be as fluffy. You'll know the cake is done when you take a cocktail stick and poke the cake slightly in the middle. If it comes out wet, it's not done. If it comes out dry, your cake is done!
